Erfurt?…hier ein Bild von unserem Abstecher nach Weimar 🙂
In der Thüringer Landeshauptstadt Erfurt und ihrer Umgebung verbrachte der Junge Chor der Gemeinde St. Columban Friedrichshafen vier erfreulich sonnige Novembertage.
Auf dem Weg dorthin erfrischte sich der Chor mit einem Zwischenhalt bei der Bionade GmbH in Ortsheim/Rhön und erfuhr dabei das Geheimnis der Herstellung.
Darauf folgte ein Kennenlernen der Stadt Erfurt und ihrer Söhne. Auf den Spuren von Schiller und Goethe führte der Weg auch nach Weimar, wo bekanntlich auch andere Künstler wie Bach und Liszt wirkten. Neben der Stadtführung blieb etwas Zeit zur freien Verfügung, um sich ein eigenes Bild der netten mittelalterlichen Stadt zu machen und sich von den unzähligen Brücken, kleinen Gassen und eng aneinandergereihten Handwerksläden beeindrucken zu lassen. Nicht fehlen durften auf dieser Reise die Kirchenbesichtigungen, bei denen der Raum auch gleich auf das Klangerlebnis geprüft wurde, wie auch eine Orgelführung in der Predigerkirche, die mit einem eindrucksvollen Orgelkonzert endete.
Am Samstag Abend genoss der Chor während einer Vesper die Akustik der Michaeliskirche und ließ den Abend im Anschluss gemeinsam gemütlich ausklingen.
Zum Abschluss der Reise trug der Junge Chor unter der Leitung von Marita Hasenmüller zur Gestaltung der Messe am Sonntag Morgen im Dom zu Erfurt bei. Zu hören gab es ein abwechslungsreiches Programm mit Werken von verschiedensten Komponisten der kirchlichen Chorliteratur, von Claudio Monteverdi über Anton Bruckner und Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy bis Morten Lauridsen und Paul Mealor. So war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.
Insgesamt war diese Chorfahrt erfüllt von vielen kulturellen Eindrücken, geselligem Miteinander und jeder Menge schönem Chorgesang.
